For once I don't think I had any navigation mistakes on this leg of the ride, although I could have had and were so minor they don't show on the map. Oh yes, I do recall going round the block to find the hotel but saw it quite fine in the end. My destination was Saalfelden which where I was basing myself for my trip to Leogang, I had looked for accommodation there but didn't find anything suitable. I had seen Leogang on the UCI Mountain Bike Downhill circuit so wanted to go there to check it out. More photos from there and on that in the next day's blog entry.

I got into my hotel just after midday, my room wasn't ready yet, but they offered me a complimentary beer while I waited, wow that's cool - so say in the reception area chatting to another guest who was also doing a ride around the area.

I was able to check in about an hour later and stored my bike and went and got changed out my cycling gear and went wandering the town. I had got a list of recommended dinner spots from the reception so wanted to check out their menus, oh and of course so some sightseeing.

Took a walk to Ritzensee. Took a nice walk around the lake and got some beautiful panoramic views of the mountains.

Got back to the hotel just after 4pm and got the complimentary beer (yes another beer) from the bar fridge in the room and went up to the Wellness Center and checked that out. There was noone there at the time. Went out onto the rooftop terrace and chilled there and video called a few people back home to show them the sights.

Around 6pm I headed out for dinner. I had decided to get a pizza at a place called Pizzeria La Piazza, the reception had recommended that as the best pizza place in the town. It was really nice, I had the Camorra as per the photo, had a big chilli in the middle which I cut up and spread it around.
